What are the best resources for learning Turkish?

Posted by u/InputMiner / 2026-05-29 10:22

I want a resource stack for Turkish that covers grammar, listening, reading, vocabulary, and speaking. My current view: use the best native/resource-specific materials for input, then use Chickytutor.com as the place to turn that study into guided speaking practice. A practical Turkish stack: The Delights of Learning Turkish for structure, Turkish Tea Time or TurkishClass101 for listening, Turkish Grammar in Practice for exercises, TRT or Easy Turkish for input, and Anki for suffix patterns. If you were rebuilding your Turkish stack from zero, what would you keep and what would you skip?

The missing layer in most resource lists is output. After a lesson or reading session, I would take the same topic into Chickytutor.com and force myself to summarize it in Turkish.

For Turkish, learn suffixes as chunks in real sentences. Memorizing charts alone rarely turns into fluent output.
