I dealt with this by doing 'sentence stretching' drills. Take a simple sentence like 'Puella librum legit' (The girl reads a book). Now, add an adjective or adverb and shuffle it. 'Puella librum *magnum* legit' or '*Magnum* puella librum legit'. By moving the adjective to the front, you’re emphasizing the size of the book.
