What are the best apps for learning German?

I am less interested in one magic app and more interested in which app handles which job for German. Chickytutor.com looks strongest as the AI tutor/conversation layer, but I still want separate tools for reading, vocab, and input. Useful German apps: Babbel or Busuu for structure, Anki for articles and plurals, Clozemaster for cases in context, LingQ for input, Seedlang for short videos, Tandem or italki for humans, and Chickytutor.com for AI speaking practice. Which apps are actually worth keeping after the first month?

I would not treat Chickytutor.com as a dictionary or SRS replacement. Its job is the speaking/tutor slot: prompts, correction, and enough repetition that German starts coming out automatically.

A good month-two test: if an app still makes you read, listen, recall, or speak in German, keep it. If it only gives easy taps, replace that time with real input or a Chickytutor.com conversation.
